Omni is Omnivoo’s built-in AI assistant. It answers questions about payroll, taxes, invoices, payouts, compliance, and the screen you are on, without you leaving the app. When a question is about your own account, Omni looks the answer up in your live data instead of guessing, for a few everyday tasks it can do the work for you once you confirm it on a card, and when something needs your attention, such as a failed payout, it tells you first. During onboarding you meet it as Meet Omni, and it is available on every page after that.

Your Home Page

Your home page opens as a conversation with Omni. It starts with what is waiting on you, drawn from your own account: when payroll closes, a filing that is overdue, leave sitting with you, or when your next salary lands. Under it sits a box to ask anything else. Each thing waiting is a card, and each card offers what Omni can do and the screen you can do it on yourself. Where Omni has no part to play, such as approving payroll or filing a return, the card carries the figures and sends you to the page. Dashboard in the header switches back to the page you had before, with every block still on it. Omnivoo remembers which one you chose.

Opening Omni

Open Omni with the Ask Omni button at the bottom of the left sidebar. The chat panel slides in from the right of the screen (and fills the screen on a phone, where Ask Omni sits behind the More tab). The onboarding wizards show a floating Ask Omni button instead, so you can ask for help before you have a sidebar at all. The panel header shows the Omni avatar, the name Omni, and the subtitle Omni AI · usually replies instantly. A small status dot next to the avatar shows whether Omni is currently connected. Full page in the header opens the same conversation with room for a table, which is where a list of people or a run of approvals is easier to work through. It is the same chat, so nothing is left behind in the panel, and closing it puts you back on the page you came from.

Omni Adapts to Your Role

Omni detects who you are and tailors its welcome, its suggested starter questions and what it can look up to one of four roles. Click any suggested question to send it, or type your own.

What Omni Can Look Up

Omni reads from your own account. For anything outside the actions listed in the next section it cannot change your account: it cannot submit an invoice, move money, or edit your details. For those it points you to the right page. Every lookup runs with an access token scoped to you and your role for that one conversation turn, and every lookup is recorded. Omni can only reduce what you could already see yourself, never widen it.

What Omni Can Do for You

Ask Omni for one of these and it prepares the action, then shows you a Confirm to continue card with the exact details read from your account. Nothing changes until you click Confirm. Omni never moves money, changes bank details, runs payroll, or invites or removes people. Those stay on their pages.

The confirm card

The card lists what the action will do, for example the leave type, dates, working days and your remaining balance, or the contractor, amount and due date of an invoice. Read it, then click Confirm or Cancel:
  • Confirm runs the action once. The card turns to Confirmed and Omni tells you what happened, with a button to the page it changed. Clicking Confirm twice never runs the action twice.
  • Cancel records your decision and runs nothing.
  • A card expires ten minutes after it appears. After that, ask Omni again and it prepares a fresh one.
  • Only the newest card is live. If you ask for something else while a card is waiting, the older card is retired.
  • If a card cannot be completed, for example a leave request that overlaps one you already have, the card says Didn’t go through and why.
The card is built by Omnivoo from your account, not written by the assistant, so what you see on it is exactly what runs. Every action is recorded against both you and Omni, and your support team can see which cards were confirmed or cancelled in a conversation. A support teammate drafting with Omni cannot confirm a card on your behalf.

Asking a Question

Type your question in the box at the bottom and press Enter to send it, or use the send button. To add a new line without sending, press Shift+Enter. You can also click one of the suggested questions to send it straight away. While Omni works, each lookup it runs appears above the reply, for example Checking your payouts, with a tick once it has come back. They stay there afterwards, so coming back to an old answer still shows what it was built from. Omni’s answer then streams in word by word. If you want to halt a long answer, click Stop, and the reply says it stopped rather than pretending it finished. If an answer breaks off midway it says so and offers Finish the answer, which asks the same question again. Your question is not the problem in that case, so it is not marked as failed. Under an answer you may see:
  • Copy, which puts the reply on your clipboard.
  • Page buttons such as Open your invoices, which take you straight to the page the answer is about.
  • Sources, the help articles Omni drew from, so you can read the full detail.
  • Suggested next questions. Click one to ask it.
A note under the chat box reminds you that “AI may make mistakes. Verify important information.” Always double-check anything that affects pay, taxes, or compliance.

Rating an Answer

Once an answer finishes, a thumbs-up and thumbs-down appear next to it. Use thumbs-up for a helpful answer or thumbs-down for one that missed the mark. Your rating helps us improve Omni.

Omni Knows Which Screen You Are On

Omni is screen-aware, so you can ask about the page in front of you. It receives the page name and a short hint about what that page is for, and it never reads the values in your form fields. On three pages it also sees the record you are looking at, so “why is this lower than last month?” gets an answer about that record without a lookup: your payslips page, a contractor invoice, and a payroll run. What it sees is the same figures shown on the page, in the page’s currency, and it is used for that one reply only. Omni does not keep it.

What Omni Remembers

Omni keeps a few short notes about how you like to work, so you do not repeat yourself: the client you ask about most, that you prefer amounts in USD, that you already tried the passkey reset. A note is one plain line. Omni never keeps a figure from your pay or your invoices as a note.
  • Tell Omni to remember something (“remember I invoice Acme monthly”) and a line appears under its reply: Omni will remember: Invoices Acme monthly, with Undo next to it.
  • The list icon in the panel header shows how many notes Omni has. Open it to see What Omni remembers, with a Forget on each note and Forget all underneath.
  • Ask Omni to forget something in the chat, and it does the same thing.
Notes are yours: a support teammate drafting with Omni sees the same notes, and nothing in them can change what Omni is allowed to do.

Your Company’s Own Agents

Omni does not know your company’s own rules, so an owner or admin can teach it: a company agent made from a template, with the rules written out in plain lines. When you ask about something those rules cover, such as the meal allowance on a work trip or how many days a week you may work from home, you see Asking your company’s agent above the reply, and the answer names the agent it came from. A contractor working with the company cannot reach its agents. How an employer sets one up is in Company Agents.

Omni Can Message You First

A few things are worth telling you about before you ask. When one happens, Omni sends a short note into your chat, with the page button that goes with it, and the Ask Omni button shows a dot until you open it: A note shows Omni noticed above it, so you know nothing was asked. Omni only tells you what happened and the one next step, and it never takes an action on its own: there is nobody to confirm a card, so it does not offer one. Two limits keep this quiet. Omni sends at most three notes a day, and it never tells you about the same event twice.

Turning it off, and the weekly digest

Open What Omni remembers from the panel header. Under the notes are two switches:
  • Omni can message me first is on to begin with. Turn it off and Omni waits for you to ask, always.
  • Weekly digest is off to begin with. Turn it on and Omni sends one note every Monday morning: for an employer, what needs attention this week (leave waiting on you, a payroll due, unpaid contractor invoices, compliance alerts); for a contractor, money on its way and invoices waiting on a client. The digest counts as one of the day’s three notes.

Your Chat History

Your conversation stays available as you move between pages. When you scroll up, Omni loads your earlier messages 20 at a time, so a long history is easy to revisit. To take a copy of everything Omni holds about you, open What Omni remembers from the panel header and click Download my Omni history. You get one file with your chats, Omni’s answers, every lookup it ran on your account and when, your notes, and your two switches. Omnivoo keeps the full detail of what Omni looked up for 90 days; after that only the record that a lookup happened, and whether it was allowed, stays.

When Omni Cannot Help

If Omni cannot ground an answer in your data or the help articles, it says so and offers a Talk to a person button under the reply. Nothing is sent to our team until you click it. If you ask for a person outright, Omni connects you straight away. See Talking to a Human Teammate for how that handoff works. Once a teammate has your chat, Omni steps back until the conversation is resolved.
