# Managing EOR Employees

> View an EOR employee's details, payroll, documents, and compliance status from their detail page.

Once an employee is hired through Omnivoo's EOR service, you can review their details, payroll, documents, and compliance from their detail page. This guide covers what each tab shows and the actions available there.

## Accessing an Employee's Profile

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the People page">
    Click **People** in the sidebar to open the [People page](/employer/employees).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Find the employee">
    Find the employee (use search or filters).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open their detail page">
    Click the person to open their detail page.
  </Step>
</Steps>

The detail page header shows the employee's name and status, their job title and the state they work in, and their email, start date and manager. When the employee is active, **Edit employment** sits in the header, and **Terminate employment** is in the **⋯** menu next to it. See [Employee Offboarding & Settlement](/eor/employee-offboarding) for what terminating does.

## Editing Employment

**Edit employment** in the header opens a form with the employee's job title, monthly CTC, work hours per week, and notice period. Only the fields you change are sent.

### Changing pay

Entering a new monthly CTC reveals two more fields:

* **Reason for revision** - Annual increment, Promotion, Market correction, Role change, or Other. This is recorded against the revision and shown in the employee's salary history.
* **Effective from** - the date the new salary starts. It defaults to today.

Saving a pay change does three things:

<Steps>
  <Step title="Records the revision">
    A salary revision is recorded with the previous and revised CTC, the reason, and the effective date.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sends the compensation revision letter">
    The employee gets an email with a link to review and sign their compensation revision letter. Omnivoo counter-signs once they have signed, and the employee gets a second email with the fully signed copy to download.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Moves the salary on the effective date">
    Payroll pays the new figure from the first run whose period covers the effective date, not from the moment you save. A raise agreed today for next month is paid next month.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  If the employee declines the letter, the scheduled salary change is cancelled and payroll keeps paying the old figure.
</Note>

### Wage floors

An Indian employee's revised CTC has to clear the same statutory floors as the original hire:

* The minimum wage, checked on the gross pay the new CTC gives: Maharashtra's ₹15,766 a month for a skilled worker, or their own state's where that is higher.
* Basic and DA together must be at least half of total remuneration, under the Code on Wages, 2019.

A revision below either floor is refused, and the message says which one and by how much.

### Changing terms without changing pay

Editing only the job title, work hours, or notice period records the change and emails the employee what was updated. No revision letter is issued, because there is no pay change to paper.

## Employee Detail Tabs

The employee detail page lives at `/employer/people/engagement/:engagementId` and has five tabs:

* **Overview** - anything waiting on you (bank account, offer letter, onboarding, investment declaration, time off requests), employment terms, salary history, monthly cost to you, bank account and reporting line.
* **Payroll** - one row per month with the pay date, net pay, status and payslip download, and the monthly salary structure split into earnings, deductions and what you pay on top.
* **Time off** - leave balances, requests waiting for you, and upcoming and past leave.
* **Documents** - files on record, document requests, and termination documents for a terminated employee.
* **Compliance** - PAN, UAN and ESI number, tax regime and investment declaration, and a readiness checklist. ESI counts as done when the employee earns over ₹21,000 gross a month, because it does not apply to them.

See [Viewing a person's profile](/employer/person-detail) for every card on each tab.

<Info>
  **Company-wide compliance**

  This tab covers one employee's readiness. For your company's verification status and the statutory filings Omnivoo handles for you, see [Compliance & Documents](/compliance/compliance-and-documents).
</Info>

## Generating Termination Documents

The offer letter is the employment document, and it is written when you hire. It carries the terms, the salary breakdown and the clauses, and both the employee and Omnivoo sign it. The employee detail page does not reissue it. What it does generate is **termination paperwork** once an employee is offboarded:

<Steps>
  <Step title="Terminate the employee">
    Terminate the employee (see [Employee Offboarding & Settlement](/eor/employee-offboarding)).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Generate Termination Documents">
    On the **Documents** tab, click **Generate Termination Documents**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Download the letters">
    Omnivoo produces a **relieving letter** and an **experience letter** as PDFs, which then appear in the document list to download.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Employee Status

The header status badge reflects the engagement state. Active employees can be terminated from the **⋯** menu in the header. After offboarding, the engagement moves to a completed/cancelled state, the menu no longer offers **Terminate employment**, and termination documents and the settlement are on the Documents tab.

## What's Next?

* [Employee Offboarding & Settlement](/eor/employee-offboarding) - Terminate an employee and process final settlement.
* [Settlement Approvals](/eor/settlement-approvals) - Review and approve the Full & Final settlement.
* [Compliance & Documents](/compliance/compliance-and-documents) - Your company's verification status and signed agreements.
