> ## Agent Instructions
> Omnivoo is an India-first Employer of Record (EOR) platform. EOR hiring is India only; contractors are supported in 220+ countries and territories.
> Never tell a user to log in with a password. Authentication is passwordless: email OTP, passkeys, Google, or SSO.
> Statutory figures (TDS slabs, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, gratuity) change by financial year. Always state the year the figure applies to.
> Never name a third-party payment provider as Omnivoo’s payment rail. Refer to "our payments partner".

# Uploading Your Onboarding Documents

> Upload the identity, address, banking, and employment documents required for India EOR onboarding.

The **Your documents** section of the [Documents](/employee-self-service/documents) page is where you upload the files required to complete your India EOR onboarding. The same uploader is the **Documents** step of the [guided onboarding wizard](/employee-self-service/employee-onboarding).

## Progress

A **Progress** card at the top shows how many of the required documents you have uploaded, for example **80% complete**, with a progress bar and the note "All documents required for India EOR compliance."

## Required and nice to have

Two cards. **Required** holds the five files that finish the step, and each slot says what it is. **Nice to have** holds the rest, each saying why it is worth sending, and an **Optional** pill.

| Card | Document | What it is | Files |
| - | - | - | - |
| **Required** | Aadhaar Card | We read the number off it, so send a clear picture | Single |
| **Required** | Address Proof | Utility bill or rent agreement | Single |
| **Required** | PAN Card | The card itself, not just the number | Single |
| **Required** | Passport Photo | Recent, plain background | Single |
| **Required** | Cancelled Cheque / Passbook | Or the first page of your passbook | Single |
| **Nice to have** | Relieving Letter | From your last employer. Not required to finish onboarding | Single |
| **Nice to have** | Previous Salary Slips (last 2-3 months) | Helps us withhold the right TDS for the year | Multiple |
| **Nice to have** | Previous Experience Letters | From earlier employers, if you have them | Multiple |
| **Nice to have** | Degree Certificates | Whatever your employer asked you for | Multiple |
| **Nice to have** | Resume | The one your employer hired you on | Single |
| **Nice to have** | Disability Certificate | Your UDID card, for a disability of 40% or more. No professional tax is taken once we check it | Single |

## Professional tax exemptions

Omnivoo's India entity is registered in Maharashtra, so Maharashtra professional tax applies to you. Two groups are exempt:

* **Women earning up to ₹25,000 a month.** This comes from the gender on your profile, so there is nothing to upload.
* **Anyone with a disability of 40% or more**, certified under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016. Upload your UDID card or disability certificate to the **Disability Certificate** slot. Once Omnivoo approves it, no professional tax is taken from your pay, at any salary.

The exemption starts from the first payroll run after approval. It does not refund professional tax taken in earlier months.

## Uploading a File

Each slot has an upload button and the caption "PDF, JPG, PNG, WEBP · max 10MB". The button label depends on the slot:

* **Upload** - when the slot is empty.
* **Replace** - on a single-file slot that already has a file. Uploading again replaces it.
* **Add another** - on a multi-file slot (Degree Certificates, Previous Experience Letters, Previous Salary Slips), so you can attach more than one file.

Two multi-file slots ask for a detail before you upload:

* **Degree Certificates** need an **Issuing authority** value (for example "University of Mumbai").
* **Previous Salary Slips** need a **Pay period** value (for example "March 2026").

If you try to upload without filling these in, the slot asks you to enter the value first.

### File Limits

* **Accepted types:** PDF, JPEG, PNG, and WEBP. Any other type is rejected with "Unsupported file type. Use PDF, JPG, PNG, or WEBP."
* **Maximum size:** 10 MB. A larger file is rejected with "File exceeds 10MB limit".

## Managing Uploaded Files

Once a file is uploaded, its slot shows the file name, a status chip, the upload date, and the file size, along with **View** (eye) and **Delete** (trash) actions:

* **Status chip** - **Approved**, **Pending**, or **Rejected** once Omnivoo has checked the file. A rejected file also shows "Reason: \<note>" explaining why, we email you the same note, and the document counts as outstanding again until you upload a new one.
* **View** opens the document in a new browser tab.
* **Delete** asks you to confirm ("Delete ...? This cannot be undone.") and cannot be undone.

Only the latest upload for each document type is shown. **Approved documents cannot be deleted:** the trash action is disabled with the tooltip "Approved documents cannot be deleted".

## Items Handled Elsewhere

The standalone page also shows two helper cards linking to items captured on other pages:

* **Statutory** - your UAN / PF Number and ESIC Number are captured on your profile. Click **Edit Profile**. See [Editing Your Profile](/employee-self-service/editing-profile).
* **Acknowledgements** - **View Offer Letter** opens your [offer letter](/employee-self-service/offer-letter), and **Investment Declaration** opens the [declaration form](/employee-self-service/investment-declarations).

## What's Next?
