# Your Onboarding Checklist

> The twelve items that have to be done before your first payroll, and where each one lives.

Onboarding is a wizard, and the checklist behind it is what decides when you are finished. Each step marks its own items complete as you do them, and your progress bar reads off the twelve items below.

For the guided version, see [Setting Up Your Account (Onboarding)](/employee-self-service/employee-onboarding).

## The twelve items

| Step | Item |
| - | - |
| [Your IDs](/employee-self-service/editing-profile) | PAN |
| [Bank account](/employee-self-service/updating-bank-details) | Bank account registered with our payout bank |
| [Documents](/employee-self-service/onboarding-documents) | Identity proof |
| [Documents](/employee-self-service/onboarding-documents) | Address proof |
| [Documents](/employee-self-service/onboarding-documents) | PAN card |
| [Documents](/employee-self-service/onboarding-documents) | Passport photo |
| [Documents](/employee-self-service/onboarding-documents) | Cancelled cheque |
| Policies | POSH policy acknowledged |
| Policies | Employee handbook acknowledged |
| Policies | Non-disclosure agreement acknowledged |
| [Investment declaration](/employee-self-service/investment-declarations) | Declaration submitted |
| [Offer letter](/employee-self-service/offer-letter) | Signed by you and counter-signed by Omnivoo |

There is no way to tick an item by hand. Each one is marked complete by the step that owns it, which is what keeps the checklist and the record in step.

## What is tracked but does not hold you up

Your UAN, your ESI number, your bank passbook and your employment-history documents (resume, degree certificates, experience letters, relieving letter, previous payslips) are all kept, and none of them blocks you from finishing. A first-time employee has no UAN until we open one, so it could never be a requirement.

Give us your UAN as soon as you have it all the same: without it you are absent from the PF return, and your previous employer's provident fund cannot be transferred across.

## If you finished before the Policies step existed

Your onboarding stays complete. The three policy items will show as outstanding, because we genuinely do not hold your acknowledgement yet, and ticking them is how we get it.
